Background info Human fibrinogen is incubated together with human FXIII, activated human thrombin, Ca2+ and an high-affinity FXIII-inhibitor at 37°C for 16h. Degradation products are generated through proteolysis by activated human plasmin and isolated using gel filtration chromatography.
