Zedira's MTG-Handbook

Microbial transglutaminase (MTG) catalyzes the cross-linking of proteins and the incorporation of primary amines into proteins. This property allows a wide range of labels to be attached to proteins, including biotin, fluorescent dyes, click chemistry substrates and cytotoxins.

MTG's unique properties can be used to generate site-specific and homogeneous antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and biopolymers. Candidates for both applications are already in clinical trials.

The use of MTG in medical applications is made possible by Zedira's MTG brand Andracon®.

This 3rd edition of Zedira's MTG Handbook provides an overview of this fascinating enzyme.
